Sox to take a look at IF Saladino

GLENDALE, Ariz. — The Chicago White Sox sent six players to minor league camp Wednesday and added one to the major league camp.

Infielder Tyler Saladino was asked to join the Sox for a look during camp after spending last season at Class A Winston-Salem, where he hit .270.

The Sox also optioned pitcher Gregory Infante to Class AAA Charlotte and re-assigned five others to the minors: catcher Damaso Espino, outfielders Brandon Short and Delwyn Young and pitchers Brian Omogrosso and Jacob Petricka.
