This could be a curse or a blessing. It depends on whether you have a house-sitter who can keep the lights on and show signs of life at the home you just told the world you abandoned for a vacation in the islands.
Wipolo’s new “travel dashboard” really is a dandy little app just made available via Facebook. It will show loved ones (and perhaps unloved ones) where you are in real time, where you’ve been, where you’re going and exactly when you won’t be home, unless you choose to be more coy.
The upside is that it can be a handy travel tool, providing videos and info on new destinations plus tips from other travelers. And there’s lots of organizational potential to gather bits and pieces (hotel stays, car rentals, places visited) that you might not otherwise record for later use. Just remember to think about how much info you want to share.
