More airport restaurants are offering heart-healthy food, according to a report by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. In fact, you’ll find that 82 percent of airport eateries are on board for healthy offerings, with at least one low-fat, cholesterol-free meal on their menus.

Unfortunately, Chicago’s O’Hare ranked near the bottom, No. 13 out of 15, with only Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson (14) and Washington’s Ronald Reagan (15) faring worse. All in all, the percentage is a huge increase from a decade ago, when 57 percent of airport restaurants offered at least one healthful option.

Leading the pack with healthy food was Detroit’s Wayne County Airport, San Francisco International and, tying for third, Houston’s George Bush International in Houston and Newark’s Liberty International in New Jersey.
