While the U.S. East Coast needs to keep an eye on it, a powerful Hurricane Igor is projected to approach Bermuda on Saturday.
At that point, the system is forecast to be a Category 3 system with sustained winds of 115 mph, still a dangerous storm.
At 5 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, Igor was in the Atlantic about 1015 miles southeast of Bermuda, moving west-northwest at 8 mph with sustained winds of 135 mph, or Category 4 strength.
