News and entertainment site thedailybeast.com has cooked up a list of the biggest cities in America and ranked them as potential hot spots for love. Chicago didn’t fare so well. The site considered cities with populations of more than 200,000 and assigned grades to each based on the following criteria: Singles ratio (the more, the better), social life (based on restaurants and bars per person over 21), emotional health (drawn from the Gallup-Healthways Emotional Health Index), marriage ratio (points for getting hitched) and divorce ratio (penalty for splitting up).
