It’s time to give the lads a turn. The ever-popular Celtic Woman show has wowed audiences around the globe thanks to consistent touring and some serious love from PBS. Celtic Thunder, while not affiliated with Celtic Woman, follows the same template. Instead of five lasses, we get five lads, ranging from a manly 41 to a teen dream of 16, singing both traditional fare and Top 40 radio hits in rapturous harmonies. If The Eagles’ “Desperado” and The Moody Blues’ “Nights in White Satin” don’t strike you as Irish enough, “The Mountains of Mourne” and “Love Thee Dearest” will surely do the trick. 7:30 p.m. Friday, Genesee Theatre, 203 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. $45-$57.50; 312-559-1212, 800-982-2787 (Genesee) or ticketmaster.com.
