Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

In case you missed out on trolling for Easter eggs when the holiday swept in without bringing the mild temperatures we all long for, here’s a chance to make up for lost time. Nitelite Egg Hunt, a non-denominational event, allows revelers to experience the thrill of the chase without actually having to be saddled with a bunch of incredible, edible eggs. Participants between the ages of 7 and 12 will search for plastic eggs filled with points that they can redeem for prizes. Those scared of things that go bump in the night might want to stay away from this outing as it takes place under a blanket of darkness. Bring flashlights! 7:45 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Hunt Club Park, 920 N. Hunt Club Rd., Gurnee. $9 (non-residents), $7 (residents); 847-623-7788 or gurneeparkdistrict.com.
