Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Some random musings and bits of news:

* I recently came across two great “Lost” links. The first one (tr.im/i3uM) is a fan-made collection of Dharma Initiative recruitment posters. The second is a video that answers the question: What would “Lost’s” opening credits look like if the show had been made in the ’80s? Check it out here: is.gd/pUdr.

* The date is not definite yet, but it looks as though “Burn Notice” will begin its third season in the first week of June. I’m counting the days. When the show returns, Moon Bloodgood (“Journeyman,” “Daybreak”) will play Michelle Paxon, a Miami cop obsessed with uncovering the truth about Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan).

* The Peabody Award winners for television and radio were announced Wednesday. They are, as usual, a worthy bunch (“Lost,” “John Adams,” National Public Radio and many excellent documentaries), but there’s one glaring exception. HBO’s “Entourage,” which got a Peabody, hasn’t been anywhere near its apex in quite some time. One interesting wild-card choice: The Onion News Network. The Peabody board said “the satirical tabloid’s online send-up of 24-hour cable-TV news was hilarious, trenchant and not infrequently hard to distinguish from the real thing.” For the full list of nominees, go here: tr.im/i60X.

* “Battlestar Galactica” executive producer Ronald D. Moore went on the Scifi.com message boards to talk about an abandoned idea for an alternative ending to the show and to address fan complaints and feedback about the March 20 finale. His posts can be found in these two spots: tr.im/i2L9 and tr.im/i2Lt.

* Are you a superfan of “The Deadliest Catch,” which returns April 14 on the Discovery Channel? Then you may want to attend the first CatchCon, a fan convention, April 25 in Seattle; many of the show’s crab-fishing captains will be in attendance. For more information, go here: tr.im/i3ll.

* Oak Park native Kathy Griffin has a comedy special April 15 on Bravo. It’s titled “Kathy Griffin: She’ll Cut a [Witch].” You have probably guessed the last word is not actually “witch.”

* “Supernatural” fans, check out the site Ghostfacers.com. The Ghostfacers are the goofball nemeses of demon-battling brothers Sam and Dean Winchester, and the ‘Facers’ surprise appearance in the March 26 episode of the show was a real scream.

* “Stargate” fans, don’t forget that the TV movie “Stargate: Continuum” airs at 9 p.m. Friday on Sci Fi. The film features “Stargate SG-1” crew as well as their old interplanetary nemesis, Ba’al. “Continuum” will be preceded by another wormhole-licious film, “Stargate: The Ark of Truth.”
