Summary: The first two meetings between these North Suburban Lake rivals were decided by a total of two points. Lake Zurich won both of those regular-season games, and Olivia Allen made sure the Bears wouldn’t be denied a third victory. The senior guard poured in a career-high 32 points, and Lake Zurich shot 69 percent from the field in the surprising rout. The Bears will face top-seeded Wheeling in Thursday’s sectional championship game. Mundelein cut a 10-point deficit to 32-29 with 3:49 left in the second quarter, but the Bears closed the half with a 15-2 run to open up a 16-point advantage. Lake Zurich made 18 of 24 field goals in the first half and 29 of 42 for the game. The Mustangs were 23 of 51 shooting (45 percent).
