Halftime:

Naperville Central 26-21

Summary:

Naperville Central clinched a second straight DuPage Valley Conference title, but it was not easy. The Redhawks had a five-point halftime lead, thanks in great part to Northwestern-bound Drew Crawford, who scored 15 of his team-high 27 points in the first half. The Tigers fought back behind 6-3 sophomore guard Reilly O’Toole, who scored 26 of his game-high 31 points in the second half, including a 15-foot jumper with :03.5 left to force overtime. Crawford, who struggled offensively in the second half, converted when it counted, going 6-for-7 from the free-throw line in the extra period.

Top performers:

The bonus:

“It’s great to repeat, but we’re not done yet,” Crawford said. “We still have two games left in conference. We want to go undefeated, and that will give us momentum into the playoffs.”
