Since the Tribune wrote about new American Gladiator Beth Horn, a.k.a. Venom, she went on two USO tours to entertain troops in Iraq and Africa.

“We flew Black Hawk helicopters everywhere. … It was absolutely incredible,” she said.

Horn also acted in a pilot of a new “Quantum Leap” series, a reboot of the time-jumping TV show (1989-93), though she’s secretive about her role. “Sorry, I can’t tell you,” she says.

For now, she’s fighting a holiday cold and training for the next season of “American Gladiators.” If the next summer season gets a green light, Horn will start filming in March.
