The boys are back.
After a break because of the writers’ strike, Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Jeremy Piven return Sunday with Season 5 of “Entourage.” Will HBO’s former darling be able to recoup its status as a network gem?
Well, if the old formula of landing buzzworthy cameos still works, the inside-Hollywood show could be off to a good start.
Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps is slated to make an appearance this season — and at least one of the show’s cast members has mused that he wouldn’t mind having Phelps in “Entourage’s” inner circle.
“I could see him coming back as one of the boys,” Jeremy Piven, who plays high-strung agent Ari Gold, told People magazine during a launch party this week. “I can see Ari being very aggressive in recruiting him to represent him and also stopping at nothing to poach him from another client. That’s what Ari would do.”

Rewind!
Last time we hung out with the boys, movie star Vince’s (Adrian Grenier) epic flick “Medellin,” which had him playing Colombian gangster Pablo Escobar, flopped. Miserably. Now he’s hiding out in Mexico with Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) and a harem of hotties.
Eric (Kevin Connolly), on the other hand, has seemingly moved on beyond “Medellin” and is powering ahead with his own fledgling talent agency. Drama (Kevin Dillon) has found love — remember the girl from the Cannes Film Festival? — and still is reaping the benefits of his small-screen comeback. Detroit News
