WHO SAYS A BIRDHOUSE has to be an A-frame or one of those grandiose gestures of mini-Victorian architecture?
Not British designers Gavin Christman and Kate Knapp (they met while working at Dyson, the British vacuum-maker). They have delivered a more global solution — a perfectly spherical, utterly Zenful, Modern roost made of clay. Birdballs come as hanging or wall-mounted versions, in white semi-porcelain and terra cotta, and can accommodate small North American birds such as chickadees, tits and titmice.
