Dark circles are one of those shapes (like the pear) we wish we didn’t have. Blame it on genetics, partying, parenthood, jet lag or all of the above. Two tired-looking testers jumped at the chance to wake up. While all three concealers did the trick, we can’t stop thinking about the wonders of AmazingConcealer.

ERASE PASTE BY BENEFIT

First impression: Q liked the tiny plastic spatula that came with the 0.15-ounce jar. We blended in the concealer (available in three shades) and it brightened up our outer zombie.

Lasting power: We definitely noticed a difference when we tested Erase Paste for about a month. The one day we didn’t wear it, a co-worker said we looked tired.

Price: $26 at Benefit Boutique, 852 W. Armitage Ave.; 1625 Sherman Ave., Evanston; 214 S. Main St., Naperville; Macy’s, 111 N. State St.; and benefit cosmetics.com.

RESCUE EYE STICK BY ACTION ANTHONY FOR MEN

First impression: Looks like a deodorant stick. This can’t really be for the space below the eyes.

Lasting power: Surprisingly refreshing — like rubbing eucalyptus or a light menthol cough drop over those circles. Our cosmetic-averse male tester found himself using it well beyond the test period.

Price: $25 at Barneys New York, 25 E. Oak St.

AMAZINGCONCEALER BY AMAZINGCOSMETICS

First impression: It took us from exhausted-looking to perky in a matter of seconds.

Lasting power: Q liked the just-right thickness of the concealer, which already graces the faces of celebrities from Blake Lively to Kate Hudson to Anne Hathaway.

Price: $40 for a 15-ml tube or $28 for 5 ml at Sephora stores, Ulta stores, AmazingCosmetics store — The Studio, 605 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, and amazingcosmetics.com.
