Lauren Jorgensen has figured out what helps Young’s girls soccer team perform well.

“I feel like we have intensity to the ball,” the Western Illinois recruit said. “And the 50-50 balls are always ours.”

Many of those balls went the Dolphins’ way Wednesday as they prepared for next week’s Public League tournament with a 4-2 victory over Farragut in the Premier Division at Rockne Stadium.

Jasmine Espino and Amber Oria eached scored twice for the Dolphins (8-6-1, 6-1). Both of Espino’s goals came in the second half after the teams were tied 1-1 at the break.

Basty Portillo had both goals for Farragut (2-2-1–all conference games).
