Even though we all usually know the contents of our refrigerators (we bought the groceries, after all), we can’t help but stare inside, searching for something — anything decent — to eat, door wide open, cold air caressing our feet.

We’re like moths drawn to that bright, white glow. Often late at night.

Weirdly enough, there’s a Web site devoted to this practice: fridgewatcher.com.

The site is simply photos submitted from all over the world showing the interiors of people’s fridges.

“Cause every fridge tells a story,” the site reads. “We want to know yours.”

So, what stories do the fridges on the site tell? For one, the world over, people love to put magnets on the front of their refrigerator. And inside? Milk is common, as is alcohol. Who knew?

Call it “Cribs” for the refrigerator.
