I played soccer for many years. I was really good. I had talent but didn’t follow up with it. I grew up and my dreams shifted. I became passionate about something else.

Pele was my favorite player. As Bruce Lee is to martial arts, Pele is to soccer.

My favorite team is Lyon. I also like Barcelona and Ronaldinho. I went to this past World Cup. I’m very excited about the 2010 World Cup being in Africa. I look forward to it.

It was definitely amazing to meet Muhammad Ali. I stood there with my mouth open. He did so much for the sport. More than that, he was socially significant.

I watch basketball. I’m very athletic but I never play. In my free time, I like to practice martial arts and sleep.

I have a few friends who are athletes. Lennox Lewis is a friend of mine.

Jack Johnson (1). He was the first black world champion boxer. He fought during the time of segregation.

I boxed when I was young. It was something I was real passionate about. I wanted to be a boxer.

When I was 15, I was hit in the middle of the stomach during a training session. It made me pass out in the ring.

My mom didn’t like that I was boxing. I didn’t stick with it because I promised her I would give it up. I was getting hit too much in the ring. I didn’t like the outcomes.

I’ve been following mixed martial arts for years. The popularity of the sport is overwhelming. It’s a great tool to help you train and you get a great deal of discipline out of it. It’s a great tool for young people with a lot of energy.

I wanted to showcase my fighting skills. It has been way overdue. I was happy I got the chance to do this. I grew up on kung fu. I did it in France.

It’s not a light thing to get into. You have to train every day and be mentally tough. Guys do this day in and day out. I only had a few months to look like someone who teaches it.

I was showing him a take down and slammed him too hard (2). It was obvious he was in pain.

He could definitely kick some [butt] (3).

I have some leads (4). I practice kung fu. I think I would come in first.

(1). Athlete he would most like to play in a movie.

(2). Hounsou broke co-star Sean Faris’ back while filming “Never Back Down.”

(3). Whether Faris would make a good MMA fighter.

(4). Who would win in an MMA fight between him and Faris.
