Megan Napoli scored all 12 of her points in the first half in leading New Trier over Naperville Central 47-38 in a Dundee-Crown holiday tournament quarterfinal Thursday.

Napoli suffered an injury to her left knee in the second half, but said she’d be ready to play in Friday’s semifinal.

Emily Higgins added 11 points for New Trier (11-5). The Trevians lost the title game last season to Fenwick.

Kelley Hendrick led the Redhawks (11-4) with 12 points.

Fenwick 64, Prospect 52:

It wasn’t easy for the No. 6 Friars, who held a tenuous 39-37 lead after three quarters. Sophomore Katlyn Payne scored 12 of her season-high 25 points in the fourth quarter to help Fenwick (14-2) pull away. “We came out in the second half knowing we were only up by two (27-25), and we knew we were better,” said Payne, who grabbed 10 rebounds. Tricia Liston and Lauren Gula (also 10 rebounds) each scored 14. Megan Murray had 16 points and Rachel Hunt 15 for the Knights (11-5).
