Another week, another apology to Barack Obama.

This time, it’s from former Nebraska senator Bob Kerrey, who has written a letter saying he’s sorry he raised Obama’s Muslim heritage while he was in the process of endorsing Hillary Clinton for president the other day.

(In announcing his support for Clinton, Kerrey was trying to compliment Obama’s ability to connect with the Muslim world because of his childhood in Indonesia.)

Last week, the apology was inspired by the comments of one of Clinton’s campaign co-chairs, who had publicly raised the issue of Obama’s drug use as a teenager. (Obama disclosed the drug use himself in his first book.) Clinton apologized to Obama herself on that one.

As before, aides to Obama say he accepts. Watch this space for future mea culpas.
