Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The speech Sen. Barack Obama gave on Nov. 10 in Des Moines at the Jefferson Jackson dinner won strong reviews from his supporters and the media.

So, nearly a month later, his campaign has done the obvious: It has made a commercial from the footage to try to appeal to Iowa voters. The ad, called “Moment,” includes portions of the speech and quotes about him from news coverage. It runs a full (and expensive) minute.

With Oprah Winfrey set to campaign with him in Iowa, South Carolina and New Hampshire this weekend, one gets the sense that Obama is getting close to making his closing argument before the Jan. 3 Iowa caucuses.
