As the 2007 AIBA World Boxing Championships wrap up Saturday, 600-plus participants will return to their host countries with stories of victory and defeat in the ring. They’ll also carry with them stories of Chicago.
We asked a few what they thought of their time here, and their impressions after nearly two weeks in the United States.

Favorite thing about Chicago: There are a lot of opportunities for sports here — just look at the [UIC Pavilion, where the matches are held]. There’s nothing like this in Ukraine.

Favorite thing about Chicago: We went to a Blackhawks game; I know: Hockey’s a stereotype for Canadians. Oh well!
