Shock of the week? How about news that actor John Amos (right) just released a country music single, “We Were Hippies.” That’s right: The father from “Good Times” is dabbling in country music. But Amos, who also has a role on ABC’s “Men in Trees,” says it’s not so farfetched. We caught up with him on the set in Vancouver. His mother came from Alabama and his father from Georgia. “I heard my share of country music,” the 67-year-old Amos told us when we talked to him Friday. “I’ve always had an affinity to it. I’ve always thought it was a great form of storytelling.”
