Summary: Forward Mark Jasso scored what proved to be the winner four minutes into the game on a header from 6 yards out off a cross from midfielder Krystian Ustupski. Lemont (21-2-3) defeated Sandburg (13-8) in the sectional final for the second straight year. Sophomore keeper Andrew Lisowski had four saves for the shutout, including a point-blank stop with 20 seconds left.

Summary: Junior forward Mark Czarny scored the winning goal off a header from a cross by midfielder Wesley Hollis with 3:12 left in the third overtime for Schaumburg (15-4). Saxons goalie Jordan Sandberg made eight saves in holding Larkin (17-6-4) scoreless. Larkin goalie Raziel Somarriba made three saves.

Summary: Jason Loebig scored off a corner kick from junior defender Alex Scott in the 28th minute for the lone goal, and senior keeper John Shakon recorded his school-record 23rd career shutout as Hinsdale Central (18-6-1) knocked off Lyons (18-5). Lyons senior midfielder Mike Schreiber was injured in the first half and did not return.

Summary: Jordan Maman’s save of a Glenbrook South penalty kick in the eighth minute propelled New Trier to score two first-half goals en route to the sectional championship. Maman had five saves for New Trier (20-2-1), which has not allowed a goal in four playoff matches. Glenbrook South finished 11-11-3.
