Maybe people really do read their e-mail in the morning.
Following an electronic solicitation sent early today, Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign says it is receiving a surge in online contributions. The Swamp reported about the e-mailed fundraising pitch this morning.
“We’re experiencing the biggest spike in online donations today since the day Obama announced,” spokesman Ben LaBolt says.
The campaign’s web site reports that it has raised nearly $500,000 toward the $2.1 million goal Obama listed in his e-mail to supporters.
