The Bears didn’t just beat the Packers on Sunday night. They also defeated Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher and the other “Desperate Housewives.” The game on NBC did a 12.3 overnight rating in the major markets; one national rating point is worth more than 1 million households. “Housewives” did a 10.8 rating on ABC. The Bears game enabled “NBC Sunday Night Football” to be the No. 1 program of the night for the fourth time this season. Locally, the Bears did a 30.9 rating and 46 share; one local ratings point is worth 34,550 homes, and share is the percentage of televisions tuned to the telecast. That’s double the ratings the Cubs did here for their playoff game Saturday against Arizona.
