Could Chicago have another “Prison Break” on its hands? Turner Network Television (TNT) has picked the Windy City to be the backdrop for the pilot of “Leverage,” a dramatic series about a team of high-tech thieves who target wealthy criminals.
TNT — the network that brought us Kyra Sedgwick in “The Closer” and Holly Hunter in “Saving Grace” — is tight-lipped about the cast, but production on the pilot is scheduled to begin here next month. If the series, directed by Dean Devlin, gets picked up, it would be the first regular series shot here since Fox’s “Prison Break” moved to Texas in 2006.
