Instead of partying until 5 in the morning, why not get the party started (yeah, it’s old school) at 5 a.m. with funk diva Chaka Khan and comedian Sinbad.
Tom Joyner and his Morning Show crew (J. Anthony Brown, Myra J, Sybil, Ms. Dupre) bring their on-air show (broadcast on V-103, 102.7 FM in the Chicago area) to cities across the country every Friday with live performances by popular music artists and comedians such as Kem, Musiq Soulchild, Brian McKnight, Adele Givens and Damon Williams.
All you have to do is show up … and laugh … and dance. Usually there are interactive activities (think dance contest) that can score you Southwest Airlines tickets and other swag. But this is a “party with a purpose.” The Tom Joyner Foundation and other corporations also donate big dollars to historically black colleges during the live broadcast. Getting up at 4 a.m. doesn’t sound so bad after all, huh? Note: Other Sky Shows have had people lining up at midnight.
