A long-simmering difference of opinion on public relations matters at the Field Museum apparently boiled over Monday when Pat Kremer, who headed the museum’s publicity department over the last 12 years, resigned.
Going with her in the surprise move was Carolyn Jacobs, the museum’s public relations manager.
Kremer has been a standout in the city’s museum world, spending nine years at the Chicago History Museum before going to the Field. At the Field she helped bring international attention to the museum.
