With the help of a photo copier, Michelle Wie intends to at least make an appearance at her high school graduation from the Punahou School on Saturday night in Honolulu, while she relaunches her professional golf career at the Ginn Tribute Hosted By Annika near Charleston, S.C. “Some friends are going to try to sneak a full-sized cardboard picture of me into graduation,” Wie said Tuesday at a news conference preceding her first tournament appearance since being sidelined by wrist problems in January. Then, as if to reinforce the notion that she’s still just 17 despite being one of the most recognizable female athletes in the world, Wie acknowledged she didn’t know precisely which day her graduation would be held since she’d known for a year she wouldn’t be attending it.
