Remember Robin Meade? Former reporter and anchor at WMAQ-Ch. 5? After six years here, Meade landed a sweet gig as the daily morning host of CNN’s “Headline News.” She eventually built such a following with that gig — there are several Web sites devoted to her on the Internet — the honchos at CNN decided to rename the morning show “Robin & Company,” targeting NBC’s “Today” show crowd. Meade, who broadcasts live Monday from Ft. Bragg, N.C., says the name change came about by accident. “Someone said, ‘Oh, she must have had that in her contract,'” Meade told us Thursday when we caught up with her in Atlanta. “No, it’s nothing like that. Behind the scenes, they would refer to it as … ‘Robin and Company.’ It just naturally happened behind the scenes.”
