Henry Winkler is tickled to death that there’s a whole generation of kids who don’t know him as “The Fonz” from his “Happy Days” days. “They know me from ‘Holes’ or ‘Water Boy’ or ‘Click,’ ” Winkler told Armour & Co. a few days ago. “But a lot of children only know me as their author.”
Yep, Winkler just finished writing “The Curtain Went Up, My Pants Fell Down,” the 11th in the Hank Zipzer series he writes with Lin Oliver. Hank is based on Winkler as a kid.
“The humor is exaggerated,” Winkler said. “For instance, I never actually flooded my classroom.”
