‘Snoop Dogg’s Hood of Horror’ **
Snoop Dogg becomes the “Crib Keeper” (see also: “Tales From the Crypt’s
” Crypt Keeper) for three bloody urban morality tales.
The lessons offered are pretty good — misuse of power, ego and friendship among them. But the stories are very predictable, and a bit too bloody, and the acting is uneven. “Mad TV” alum Aries Spears has a nice turn as a gunned-down rap artist, but Anson Mount’s murderous Tex Jr. is a little too hokey even for a film that is often played to be hokey.
There are good reasons to avoid this movie, apart from violence, and a lot of words you could probably predict if you’ve heard the uncensored versions of songs from Dogg’s oeuvre (two such words start with N and B respectively, if parents unfamiliar with his work need more guidance).

Just don’t expect art, because in this neighborhood, even the art gets a grisly twist.
