DePaul forward Karron Clarke hails from Brooklyn, so when he hears “Manhattan,” he thinks of Madison Square Garden, not the plains of Kansas. So Clarke was a little confused when he was told the Blue Demons were heading to Manhattan, Kan., to face Kansas State at 8 p.m. Monday in the NIT. “I never heard of it until [coach Jerry Wainwright] told us we were playing there,” Clarke said. “I said, `Are we going to New York?'” The Blue Demons (19-13) need two more wins to reach the semifinals at Madison Square Garden. First they have to get past Kansas State (23-11), motivated after being left out of the NCAA tournament.
