The Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board has scheduled a public hearing for Wednesday to weigh a proposal by Kindred Healthcare for a 60-bed long-term acute care hospital in the city. The $25 million facility would be built on 5 acres on 95th Street west of 88th Avenue, said Mayor Michael Howley.

Hickory Hills supports the proposal, which is expected to bring more than 100 jobs to the city, he said.

The forum is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Moraine Valley Community College in Room 2 of the College Center Building, 9000 W. College Pkwy., Palos Hills.
