The Bears on Monday turned over the development of quarterback Rex Grossman to a new position coach with the same number of NFL seasons–four–as his pupil. They named former San Francisco offensive assistant/quarterbacks coach Pep Hamilton as the successor to Wade Wilson as quarterbacks coach.
The Bears also hired former Duke assistant running backs coach Charles London as offensive quality-control coach.
Hamilton worked under 49ers offensive coordinator and now San Diego head coach Norv Turner last season. Previously he spent three seasons with the New York Jets in various assistant roles.
