Apparently, Macy Gray has more of a movie bug than we thought. When we sat down with the raspy-voiced singer a few days ago–Gray was in town taping a future “Soundstage” show at WTTW11’s studios on the Northwest side–she told us she’s been writing a screenplay.
“I’m almost done with that, and I want to get it made in 2008,” said Gray, who acted in “Domino” and “Shadowboxer.” “It’s a true story about my family. I’m very excited. Hopefully, I’ll be done by the summer.” Of course, Gray is still making music. Her fourth studio album, “Big,” drops March 27.
