Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Are you ready for some football? Universal Pictures is looking for experienced football players–they must have played a minimum of two years in college–to be in the movie “The Express,” starring Dennis Quaid. The flick, which begins shooting here in April, is about Ernie Davis, who in 1961 became the first African-American player to win the Heisman Trophy.

If you’re at least 18 years old, show up on Monday and Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Chicago Center for the Performing Arts, 777 N. Green St. (It wouldn’t hurt to bring a picture of yourself in uniform.) “We’re looking for guys who have played in the last two or three years, are still in football shape and can hit,” Allan Graf, a stunt coordinator who also cast “Any Given Sunday,” told Armour & Co. “There’s no faking football.” (Insert your own Rex Grossman joke here.)
