Snow City Arts Foundation, a Chicago non-profit group that provides arts instruction to hospitalized children, is to receive a Coming Up Taller Award in a White House ceremony Monday.

Snow City is the lone Illinois recipient of the $10,000 award, which a committee of three federal agencies gives annually to 15 community groups offering exemplary out-of-school programs for youths in the arts and humanities.
