She had a coveted Super Bowl ticket last year but was deployed to Afghanistan three days before the game of a lifetime. Fast forward to this year, and Army Master Sgt. Traci Williams is in Chicago to watch her Seahawks take on the Bears. With her is a 4-by-6-foot Sea Hawkers military booster banner that she can’t wait to hang from the front row of Soldier Field’s 300 level. “It’s enemy territory, but I’m not going to stealth at all,” said Williams, 46. In July, three roadside bombs exploded near her car while she was delivering supplies. She still hesitates when talking about a comrade who was killed by a sniper’s bullet. The first call Williams made after arriving at Washington’s Dulles International Airport in late September was to her family. Then she called the Seahawks to buy tickets for the next game. “When I left Afghanistan, I said, `I’m not going to miss another Seahawks event,'” said Williams, president of the military chapter of the Sea Hawkers booster club. Within minutes of learning Seattle would play Chicago, she had a room booked at the Hilton and was online ticket hunting.
