The only surprise of the playoffs so far is there are no surprises. All four favored home teams won in the first round, and the four bye teams, including the Bears, are favored at home in next weekend’s conference semifinals.

Both NFC games are rematches. Both AFC games feature teams that played each other last season. But so much has changed for most of the final eight that fans will need a scorecard.

If there are no surprises next week, that will be the biggest surprise yet.

The best game looks like New England at San Diego.
