Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Senior Tim Brasic needs 19 rushing yards in the final two games to break Fred Custardo’s career rushing record for an Illinois quarterback set in 1963-65. After being replaced by freshman Juice Williams as a starter, Brasic sat out five games before returning in the third quarter of last week’s 17-10 loss to Ohio State. He completed 6 of 17 passes for 57 yards, gained 6 yards on a run and directed the touchdown drive that ended with his pitchout to Rashard Mendenhall for a 3-yard scoring run. “Tim came in and gave us a little spark,” coach Ron Zook said. “It is a tribute to Tim the way he has continued to be ready.”
