On October 31st,

Witches cauldrons bubble and burst.

Banshees are a howlin’,

Werewolves are a prowlin’,

Jack-o-lanterns grin and glare,

Evil maidens with snakes for hair,

Haunted houses with a hidden room,

Ghosts and ghouls leading you to your doom,

Perilous monsters in a cave,

A moaning zombie rises from his grave,

Headless horsemen on parade,

Dracula selling bloody lemonade,

Around the corner black, black cats,

In the trees, vampire bats.

Too many scary things are out and about,

So when I tell you this, I will not pout,
