Many of Notre Dame’s seniors have an additional year of eligibility remaining. But Irish coach Charlie Weis said he prefers they not think about that. “The way I want these guys to think . . . [they] are all graduating. I want them to think along the lines of, what if this season is your last?” Weis said. “It creates a sense of urgency for now.” Discussions about a potential fifth year won’t take place until after the regular season. “Those guys will have appointments with me Thursday, Friday, Saturday the first week of December,” he said.
