A number of Notre Dame players who have been battling injuries are listed as starters for Saturday’s game against Stanford. But that doesn’t mean all those players–weak-side linebacker Travis Thomas, offensive right guard Bob Morton, kickoff specialist Bobby Renkes and left cornerback Ambrose Wooden–will be back at full speed against the Cardinal. “They all range from they’re in to they’re probable to they’re questionable. I’ll just wait and see how it goes for the next few days.” coach Charlie Weis said Tuesday before practice. “Some of those guys I’d be very surprised if they weren’t starting; for others I’ll just have to wait and see [at practice] what I see when I’m out there. I’ll just have to watch Tuesday and Wednesday and make a judgment before Thursday.”
