Zoe Ryan, a senior curator at the Van Alen Institute in New York, has become the first Neville Bryan Curator of Design at the Art Institute of Chicago.

She will work with architecture and design curator Joseph Rosa in building the permanent collection, conceiving exhibitions and developing programming. Ryan formerly worked at the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. In addition to curating several exhibitions on contemporary design, she has written and/or edited the accompanying publications.
