Northwestern will begin the week searching for answers for a troubled offense. Tyrell Sutton has been held to less than 100 yards rushing in all five games, including a career-low 40 in Saturday’s loss at Penn State. And the Wildcats haven’t thrown a touchdown pass since the opener, when Mike Kafka tossed their only one. . . . Kafka’s strained hamstring forced him to miss Saturday’s game. “It’s an injury we don’t want to linger,” said coach Pat Fitzgerald, who indicated he won’t decide until at least midweek whether Andrew Brewer will get his second start or C.J. Bacher will get his first.
