Join Bare Escentuals and the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Foundation as they launch their limited edition i.d. bareMinerals eyeshadow “Loli Glimmer.”

The blue-green eye shadow was created by Sesser, Ill., resident Lori Chamness.

Go ahead, try it on. Bare Escentuals makeup artists will show attendees how to wear the eyeshadow.

For the day crowd, the event will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Ulta, 15754 S. LaGrange Rd., in Orland Park. For the evening crowd, another event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bare Escentuals Boutique at Water Tower Place, 835 N. Michigan Ave.

The eyeshadow is $13 at Ulta and Bare Escentuals boutiques. The company will donate 100 percent of proceeds from “Loli Glimmer” to CEW’s Cancer and Careers (cancerandcareers.org), devoted to working women with cancer.

Melissa Foss, editor at large for Life & Style magazine, will offer one-on-one beauty tips to attendees. Foss’ qualifications include a stint as beauty editor for Harper’s Bazaar and Good Housekeeping.

Stop by between 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Kohl’s at 2140 N. Elston Ave.

Celeb style, everyday women

If you love celebrities’ style, check out SO-Stockholm Objects in Hinsdale. The store is hosting Red Carpet Envy-Creating an Award Winning Look for the Everyday Woman, complete with beauty tips, wine, cheese and a goodie bag.

Fashion expert and image consultant Laura Siebold will offer free fashion consultations from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Siebold has dressed stars such as Rachel Hunter.

Golden tradition

Fashion Focus Chicago may have wrapped up, but you can still get a taste of fashion.

The 51st Annual Gold Coast Fashion Award Show will feature clothes by rising designers Dennis Basso, Julian Chang, Sari Gueron, KaufmanFranco, Marchesa, Thakoon Panichgul and Brian Reyes as well as local retailers.

The show, which benefits Children’s Memorial Hospital, also includes a competition where the audience votes for its favorite designer. The winner will return next year to receive the Gold Coast Fashion Award and show his or her fall collection.
