Northwestern will honor former coach Randy Walker on Saturday. A driveway north of Ryan Field is being renamed “Walker Way” and fans are invited to greet the team when it arrives at about 10:30 a.m. Two “WALK” logos will be painted on the field for home games.
Other events include a special halftime show with the Northwestern band playing “Amazing Grace,” and before and during the game, fans can sign a large card for the Walker family on the roof of the locker room in the north end zone. . . . Starting safety Bryan Heinz (ankle) will miss his second straight game. Defensive end David Ngene (knee) is also out.
