Ann Taylor is finally ready for commitment.
First came bridesmaidlike dresses, but Ann Taylor is at last walking its first wedding gown down the aisle–as part of the “Celebrations” collection.
Starting Monday, the strapless silk gown (sizes 00-18) will be available for $600 at anntaylor.com. Worried about the perfect fit? Try on a sample dress at the Ann Taylor at 600 N. Michigan Ave.
The “Celebrations” line also includes clutches, shoes and wraps to match dresses, suits and separates.
Wedding planner is not included.
Hip-hop sneakers
Hip-hop artist and actor Mos Def joins forces with Converse to update the Weapon and the timeless Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers, which both hit stores Tuesday.
The Mos Def-designed Weapon ($70) features repeating gold autographs around the tongue and upper portion of the shoe, and the Chuck Taylor All Star Mid Music ($82) comes etched with renowned New York imagery, including Q’s favorite cross-borough classic: the Brooklyn Bridge.
The shoes are available at Palm USA Inc., 1201 N. Milwaukee Ave.; Untitled, 2705 N. Clark St.; footlocker.com; and converse.com.
Haute perfume
Why wear couture when you can smell like it? Juicy Couture’s new fragrance, Juicy Couture (the name as published has been corrected here and in a subsequent reference in the photo caprtion), will be available exclusively from Tuesday through Oct. 25 at Bloomingdale’s stores.
A fruity and flowery mix, a 1-ounce bottle of perfume is $300. If you have a non-couture salary, the 1.7 ounce of eau de parfum costs $65.
