Darius Songaila parlayed his one season with the Bulls into a five-year, $23 million deal with the Washington Wizards.

Songaila, 28, will take a break from training with the Lithuanian national team and return to the U.S. to sign a contract Wednesday, his Chicago-based agent, Mark Bartelstein, said late Monday night.

Songaila was a top reserve for the Bulls, averaging 9.2 points per game. His season was cut short in March by a broken foot.

“He’s disappointed it didn’t work out [in Chicago], but he’s going to a great situation in Washington,” Bartelstein said.
